Free Mock SHSAT + Same-day Score

This is an opportunity for 7th graders to experience the SHSAT before the real thing. The results of these tests help parents and students create study plans that suit their schedule, needs, and resources.

The Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT)

The SHSAT is the sole criterion for admissions to 8 of NYC's 9 specialized high schools. The test is administered to 8th and 9th graders every October. It's a 3-hour test that features 114 ELA & Math questions (109 multiple-choice & 5 grid-in questions).

Raw Score

Shortly after students' test time is up, we grade their tests and record their raw scores (ELA, Math & combined). These raw scores are then delivered to parents. We also help you compare raw scores to the estimated cutoff scores for Specialized High Schools of their interest.

Detailed Score Report

Our reports break down students' mock SHSAT performance by ELA and Math subtopics, painting a more comprehensive picture of students' unique strengths and weaknesses. To order a detailed score report with your child's free mock SHSAT, click here.
